October 4, 2007 Hey ho.
We're finally able to update this site again. It's good to be back! Oh yeah, we're in Holland right now. Love, January 11, 2007 Happy New Year. Thanks to all the familiar and not-so-familiar faces who came down to the Broken City on new year's. If that show is any indication, 2007 should be a good one. For those in Southern California, we've been invited by San Diego's legendary Casbah to help them celebrate their 18th anniversary on January 21st, 2007. It's our first show in San Diego in over six years. Mike is staying back for a show with his other band The Madcowboys. Filling in will be our very good friend Kepi Ghoulie. It's gonna be good! Love, November 28, 2006 New Years show coming up at the Broken City, in lovely Calgary, Alberta, Canada. You should come! Stuff coming down the pipe. Keep an eye on the site. Love, July 8, 2006 Kalimotxo? We're in the middle of a couple of days of hanging out in Madrid. It's 40
degrees outside. Good chance of coming home with a tan.
Show news: One show cancelled (Helsingborg) and one added (Oslo). Check out the
shows section for more info. July 4, 2006 Show for Oviedo moved to tonight. Our plane from London was late yesterday so we couldn't play last night. The promoter and club owner were kind enough to give us another chance. Norway and England were great. We have a few days off next week and we're working on filling them up with some shows in Norway and Sweden. If you have any ideas where we should play, drop us a line! See ya soon, June 14, 2006 Shows are just getting finalized for the summer. If you're into having the band play your area, get in touch with us quick. Do it! We're also in the process of doing an overhaul on this here website. We're in need of someone to put it all together. If you're the web-savvy person we're looking for, email Juanita and she'll tell you all you need to know. Keep in touch! May 27, 2006 Show tonight in Calgary at The Lucky Lounge on 17th ave. downtown. Lots of stuff coming up! Stay tuned... March 11, 2006 Seems to be a show advertised that has us playing tonight. Unfortunately, nobody told us about it so we won't be there. Sorry for any inconvenience, March 8, 2006 Canmore was cool. Chixdiggit loves the Canmore Hotel. Upcoming show in Fernie,BC on the 18th. We're going to be doing some snowboarding as well. Email us if you wanna join us (lift tickets not included). Lots of stuff coming down the pipe. Keep checkin' in. Love, February 21, 2006 First things first... We have a show this friday at the Canmore Hotel in lovely Canmore, Alberta. Now the update: Happy belated New Year. We're back in one piece after braving the rock 'n roll jungles of the far east and downundah. Of course we had a good time. We'd like to thank all of those who lent us their gear (especially guitars and drum breakables) during the past couple months. We couldn't have done it without The Yum Yum's, Mach Pelican, Jr. Monster, Rasputin, Helper Monkeys, Sin City and Quartermain (plus many others). Special thanks to the Groovie Ghoulies for not only lending us their gear but their lead singer as well. Kepi Ghoulie filled in on bass for Mike while he took over for poor Mark on guitar. Mark had to head home a couple of shows early to take care of some business at home. Both Mike and Kepi were incredible in their part-time positions. Also in the "filling in" department, we'd like to thank Brendan Tincher from our good friends The Neckers for taking over for Jason while he did what he had to. Anyone who was at the shows will agree that Brendan did a great job. Although we missed Jason, Brendan made us feel like he'd been drumming with us since the band started. We had a pretty exciting 2005 here at Chixdiggit. New album on Fat, great tours to Europe, Australia, U.S. and our home turf Canada. We went to Japan for the first time and had some cool days off in all those places plus Singapore and Thailand too. Can't wait to get back on the road. I'm working on the tour diaries but they might be a while. Keep checking back. Love, KJ |
